It is with sadness that I am writing to inform you that Dr. Alexander C. Szabo, Jr., D.O., F.A.A.F.P. died this summer of a sudden “widow maker” type heart attack at the end of a tennis match. I suspect that he would like for me to let you know that he left this world in mere minutes on another great day of life not long after returning from a trip to meet our first grandchild in Switzerland.
I am also writing to invite you to return for your medical care at Mountain Vista Family Practice. Many of you already know me as “Mrs. Dr. Dr. Szabo”, or “Dr. Shields”, or Teresa Shields-Szabo, M.D., F.A.A.F.P. and I am looking forward to re-engaging in active patient care. After significant deliberation and a new association with OnPoint Medical Group we are reopening the office for regular business beginning on November 7, 2017. Schedules will be tight initially as we expand our operations over time.
Many of you are due now or even running behind on your routine follow up visits for medications and blood work or you may be due for your regular physical exam and preventive care appointments. Please call us and we will be glad to get you on the schedule.
For those of you who have been waiting for the schedule to reopen, thank you for your patience and kind understanding through this time of transition.
It is my personal aim to provide excellent Family Medicine care for you and your families and to honor the spirit of my husband’s love for all of you. I and Dr. Szabo’s family are so grateful for your patronage to this medical practice.
Looking forward to serving you,
Teresa Shields-Szabo, M.D., F.A.A.F.P.
